The Executive Officers of SPI Security Services, Inc. have been instrumental in the training of many of the security firms in business throughout the East Coast. After nearly 50 years of experience with ownership, training, and certification of staff, SPI understands the skills desired to meet the demands of its clients.

The staff at SPI Security Services, Inc. is thoroughly trained and state certified in all aspects of security. That allows SPI to handle any type of client need. Whether the requirement is for a seasoned and well-groomed “Courtesy Patrol” in a residential area or for a fully licensed and armed guard patrol, SPI Security Services, Inc. can handle the task. Additionally, most SPI agents are CPR, Red Cross First Aid, and Red Cross Automated External Defibrillator (AED) trained and certified. The training and certification of SPI agents are provided so the clients can be assured they are getting the highest qualified security agents and guards available.

In summary, our agents are not only thoroughly trained and supervised but they are also professional, courteous, responsive, and alert at all times. The SPI Security Services Executive and Management Leadership team has a diverse background in business, Local, State, and Federal law enforcement, and corporate security. SPI created the Office of Integrity and Compliance (OIC) as a program to reinforce our commitment to conducting its business with integrity. This is an office that you will not find in other security providers. When people behave with integrity, they act honestly, sincerely, ethically, morally and legally. SPI also created its own Security Code of Conduct as a formal statement of SPI’s standards and rules of ethical business conduct. The Integrity and Compliance Program places all policies and procedures related to ethical conduct and compliance under one umbrella, allows the office to monitor SPI’s adherence to state regulations and licensing requirements, and administers the internal disciplinary procedures for any company violations committed by SPI Personnel. The OIC acts as an independent element outside of the SPI “Chain-of-command” so that it can act objectively when investigating issues of misconduct, licensing, regulations or ethics violations.
As a part of quality control, the OIC has a staff of Agents specifically tasked to conduct inspections at the client locations. Each Agent is tasked with monitoring the following:

  • Monitor staff compliance with client requirements
  • Monitor guard licensing compliance
  • Ensure each guard is properly equipped for duty
  • Ensure each guard is properly trained for their position
  • Ensure supervisory staff is properly trained
  • Conduct checks on morale and welfare with all staff
  • Assess internal concerns of staff
  • Review and revise training to comply with current requirements
  • Investigate occurrences of violations or misconduct
  • Other duties as directed

With this office functioning as an independent auditing force, SPI can uniquely provide the oversight necessary to prevent and address any issues and concerns that may arise and avoid any potential impact on client operations.

Inspections through the OIC are designed to be conducted spontaneously and independent of any inspections that occur through the operational chain-of-command. While these inspections are not designed to replace or override supervisory control, they serve as an objective and effective method of ensuring everyone is executing the duties of their position as efficiently as possible.
